Conversation with Grandpa Great

Okay so Morgan and I went out to lunch with my Grandma and Grandpa today, (her Grandma and Grandpa Great).

Morgan has the sweetest relationship with her Grandpa Great and I love it! I love the sweet memories that we are building and I hope to build lots more! Grandpa has always called Morgan, Mojo. Lately Morgan thinks it is fun to argue with him if he calls her Mojo she corrects him and tells him her name is Morgan. Anyhow, I will see if I can replay the conversation as cute as it really was.

GG(Grandpa Great)- "Mojo, how is your lunch?"

M(Morgan)- "My name is Morgan not Mojo." (With a snotty little grin.)

GG- "Morgan, how is your lunch?"

M- "Pa, my name is Mojo!" (Giggling.)

Everyone laughs.

GG- "What does your Daddy call you?" (Looking in my direction for an answer.)

S (Sonya)- "I'm not sure, I think he probably uses Mo most of the time."

M- "No mom, he calle me Love!"

She was right and it was so cute! When Mitch came home today he called her that as soon as he walked in the door and it reminded me to tell him the story. It is amazing the things that little ones pick up on! I am amazed at the things Morgan has learned! Kids are wonderful!

Sorry, sorry, sorry!

Okay so I got a little grief about not updating my blog enough so I went a little crazy tonight! I will try to do better!

Things have been crazy around here, not sure how many people know, but Mitch is the scout master in our ward and that keeps him crazy busy! I have been doing my Scentsy stuff a little trying to get it organized. I also think I am nesting, which is nice to a point, but I feel like I am constantly going, going, going until I finally crash out at night! I am sure that Mitch is enjoying the fact that I am catching up on all the things I let go around the house when I was sick! It is nice to be feeling better! Morgan has grown out of her afternoon naps and that breaks my heart!!! That was one of the things I looked forward to everyday! I am trying to still have a quiet time around here in the afternoon, but it doesn't always go as planned!

One more week until our next ultrasound and I can hardly wait!!! It seems like a long time to wait! 7 WHOLE DAYS!!! Truly the last 3 weeks have flown by so I am sure that it will be here soon enough! I am not as strong as all of you that waited to find out what they were having! I am too much of a planner! I need to have everything ready! Maybe next time!?! I doubt it though, I am not very patient!

Valentine's!

What a cute husband I have! Mitch always send me roses the day before Valentine's Day so that I can wake up to them on Valentine's morning. I am sure that the price of roses the day before makes an impact too, which is fine with me!!!
Anyhow, on Valentine's Mitch came home ready to cook dinner. He had steak, shrimp, and the biggest crab legs I have EVER seen!!! I love all that stuff. He came home and we cooked together, got the table set cute, put on some music and lit the candles. Morgan loved it! All but the food. She requested chicken nuggets! It was all perfect!
I am lucky to have such a great husband!

Mo's haircut!

This is Morgan getting her haircut by Brittany. I am sure that Britt wishes she never started cutting Mo's hair because I didn't even go a month before I called and said it needed to be shorter! Isn't it funny how much courage I have when it comes to cutting Mo's hair! I am so bad with mine, as bad as I want to cut it, I doubt I ever will!

Morgan wasn't very good at holding still this time either! Maybe next time! She loves to get her haircut though, Mitch went before her and we watched. She had a really hard time waiting! She still tells everyone she sees that she got her haircut even though it has been atleast 2 weeks, maybe even 3!

Thanks for being so patient Britt! We love you!

Potty Training VICTORY!?!

Okay, so I think it is safe to day that Morgan is potty trained!!! Woo-Hoo!!! She hasn't had an accident in 2 weeks. I dare to leave the house without putting a pull-up on now. She is good to tell me when she needs to go and I don't have to ask her every 5 minutes! I am very excited about this! Does anyone have any tips for nights though? I still make her sleep in a pull-up (even though she hates every second of it) and she wakes up sopping wet! When is it safe to let her sleep in big girl panties???

Baby news...

Well, Wednesday finally came it is was the day we were going in for the BIG ultrasound to find out if we were having a boy or a girl. It was extremely hard to wait clear until 4:00 in the afternoon to go in, but we made it! I drank all the water I was supposed to so my bladder would be nice and full and we wouldn't miss anything! We were so excited we ended up getting there pretty early, so we drove around to get a good spot, it was freezing! Then we headed into office and didn't have to wait too long, but of coarse it seemed like FOREVER!!! I am sitting there waiting with my legs crossed, rocking back and forth, trying so hard to keep my bladder full without having a problem when they finally call us in to the ultrasound room.
We proceed in and I get up on the table lay down all ready to go. The ultrasound was really neat, it was a 3D ultrasound so we got to see things pretty clear! It was amazing! So the doctor goes through his list, yep, 2 legs, 2 arms, the heart is beating, bladder, liver, all the goods. And that was all great to hear, top priority is a healthy baby for sure. But really I wanted to know if it was a boy or a girl!!! So by the time he gets to that part, last of coarse, the baby is moving around like crazy! Summersalts, flips, this baby is a gymnast! He says he has some bad news. The baby won't hold still long enough to let him see for sure what it is! He tries to take a photo of it, but it just won't hold still! I may have another wild one on my hands!
So, we have to wait 4 more weeks and have another ultrasound to determine the baby's sex! DANG!!! I don't know if I can do it! My grandma reassured me that I could wait since she waited the whole time with all 7 of hers, but it sure sounds like a long time to me! Our new appointment will be on Feb. 27th and hopefully the baby will cooperate this time!

Dance

Morgan and Elle dancing!

1st Day of Dance Class

So Morgan started dance today and it was so cute!!! She loved every second of it and has been talking about it all day! We did a trial class just to make sure she was going to like it so she isn't in "real" dance clothes, but it looks like I am going to be able to go get some cute leotards and tights now because she wants to go back everyday!!!

This video was obviously not done by a professional, but it does the job. Morgan is the one in the pink shirt and black pants, her friend Elle is in the brown! It is so fun to watch my little girl grow up! I can't believe that she was actually big enough to go to dance class! WOW!

Girls, girls, girls!!!

So we had the pleasure of having Elle over to play today and boy did they have fun! They made cookies with play-doh, played dress up, and snack time turned into a tea party without tea cups (since I am a mean mom). It was about as girly as a day as it could have been!

I guess I should explain what makes me such a mean mom... The girls come marching into the kitchen telling me they are thirsty and need a snack. In their hands they are carrying tea cups and plates. So I put them up to the bar and got out some fruit snacks, as I was putting water into the tea cups Elle says "I want juice!" so Morgan obviously follow that by saying "No water mom, apple juice!". So I told them they could have juice in sippy cups, but not in the tea cups and they didn't like that repsonse and continued to argue. It isn't fun to argue with 2, 2 year old girls, but it is funny now! Anyhow, I won. They had juice in sippy cups and water in the tea cups and it is a good thing because as soon as I turned my head they were back off to Morgan's room with their tea cups in hand! Tea parties will be much funner at my house this summer when it is warm enough to have them outside!

It was so cute to see them interacting! I just loved standing in the hallway listening to them talk. Little girls are so cute!!!

Me and my sis!

This is me with my little sis, Melissa, she is the best!!! I couldn't ask for a better sister!

Bailee Belle

A baby is born!!! My brother Cris and his wife, Amber had a baby girl on Dec. 29th. Her name is Bailee Belle and she is a doll! We love her so much already and she isn't even 2 weeks old! Morgan can't get enough of holding her and talking to her. It makes me very excited to have a new baby around our house! Morgan will be such a big helper, I hope!?!

Dressing Up

Mo is always ready to play dress up!

Morgan's Tree

So we finally decided to keep Morgan from touching the Christmas tree we would get her very own for her room that she could decorate over and over again! Which she did!!!

Christmas Dress

This is Morgan all ready to go to church in her Christmas dress!!! She wants to wear her Christmas dress EVERYDAY!!! It was funny at church that day to listen to her talking to her friend Kaycee (who is also 2). She was telling her to touch her soft Christmas dress!!! So funny to hear little kids talk to eachother!

Our little family...

This is our little family as of now. Soon we will be growing. We have a new addition due July 4th, 2008 and we can't wait! I am not sure how people deal with more then one child, but we will soon get to figure it out! It seems like Morgan keeps us busy enough as it is! She says it is a 'baby brudder' and we will find out soon if she is right or wrong!
