Crazy Hair DAY!

I LOVE my gals and their CRAZY hair!!!

This is what the trampoline does to Karlee's hair.

Excuse the nudity! Haha! This is Morgan after taking her air out to get in the tub. She thought it was so funny!

Little Miss Macgyver

So Morgan said the funniest thing this morning I HAVE To share!

First I will set up the scene:

I was getting her dressed for school and I had the phone in my hand. I needed 2 hands to do up the buttons on her shirt so I threw the phone onto her bed. It slid off of her bed and hit the floor. She reassured me that it was going to be okay. She said...

Morgan: "Mom, don't worry if the phone is cracked I know how to fix it."

Me: "Oh really, how would you fix it?"

Morgan: *With a very matter of fact look on her face* "Well, it depends, if it is a really big crack I will use a really big piece of DUCT TAPE. If the crack is a little bit smaller, I will use a little piece of DUCT TAPE. It will be totally fine."

I just laughed. How in the world does Morgan know what DUCT TAPE is? We don't use it very often, in fact, I don't think we own any! My little miss Macgyver!

FUN at the ZOO

We went to the ZOO this weekend and it was SOOOOO fun! Morgan could go to the ZOO everyday and have fun. This trip was fun with Karlee because it was the first time she had gone and actually got REALLY excited. She was a hoot! The elephants were not her favorite, but she loved everything else. This was some much needed FaMilY TiME and I am glad we went.

Morgan's broken arm...

Morgan broke her arm jumping on the trampoline with her cousins. When she fell on it she started yelling "I brok-ed my bone, my bone is brok-ed". Being the dramatic little thing that she is. I took her in the house and put some ice on it, thinking that a bag of ice would solve all her problems. It didn't work. Her arm started swelling and the pain wasn't getting any better so we knew it was broken.

Daddy wasn't there at the time so Uncle Dane drove us to the Instacare and took great care of Morgan while she got her X-rays done. THANKS DANE! I am not sure I could have done it, she is a strong girl and was putting up quite a fight.

Daddy came and brought her blanket with her. She was a happy girl after that. The X-rays came back and sure enough it was broken, right above her elbow. She needed a hard cast in 2 days.

She was very brave when getting her hard cast. The doctors office was amazed at what a trooper she was being. She said there was NO pain!

Morgan right when she got back from the Instacare. She is pretty proud!

A broken arm will not keep her out of the action. This is her dancing with her cousins on the Wii.

She chose BLUE! Of all the colors (15) They had, she wanted blue.

I know, I know... she did this on April 10th, her cast is off now. I had to add the drama to the blog though!

Mother's Day 2010

Really? Me? How did I get so LUCKY???

Mother's Day was amazing yesterday! I am so lucky to have 2 beautiful little girls. I am so happy that I get to be their mom. I am happy to give them baths, make their meals, wash their clothes, taxi them around, clean up after them. I AM SO LUCKY! I sometimes need to be reminded of the things that are important in life. I have never KNOWN more then I KNOW now how lucky I am to be their mommy.

The day started out with Mitch letting me sleep in while he and the girls made some fabulous cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Morgan also set the table and got the house decorated for the Mother's Day Party she was having all day! SO SWEET! We then got ready for church and out the door. Mitch did everything (except the girls' hair). He really didn't let me lift a finger yesterday. He spoiled me rotten.

After church I got to come home and have a Mother's Day nap. We tried to convince Morgan that Mother's Day is for napping, just like Thanksgiving was about eating turkey, but she wasn't buying it. She might miss something if she closes her eyes for an hour!

After napping Mitch planned a great dinner at my mom's. He bought all of the ingredients for crepes. I love (and miss deeply) European Connections, so he went ahead and got all the ingredients and made his own little European Connections at my mom's house. IT WAS SOOOOOO GOOD! He also made dessert crepes. What a man I have!

Not only am I lucky to have two sweet little girls, I am lucky to have Mitch. I so grateful for my sweet handsome husband, for his caring nature and his sense of humor. I am happy to know that he would do anything for me and I hope that he knows I would do the same for him. My family means the world to me, there is NOTHING more important then my family and the time I have to spend with them.

My night ended with Morgan (who was too shy to get up in Sacrament with the rest of the kids) singing me a song that she made up about me. It was so sweet. At the end I was getting a little bit teary and she said... "Mom, are you going to cry or what?" I asked her if I was supposed to cry and she said... "Just a happy cry because my song made you so happy." She is so right! Her song did make me happy.

What a great Mother's Day! Thanks Mitch and girls.

Family Photos!!!

We got our family photos taken by my cousin Alice. She had her work cut out for her with Karlee. That girl would not look at the camera and she would NOT smile! Morgan on the other hand would have posed all day long! She loves to have her pictures taken.

Here are some of the shots... Thanks Alice!

Lithotripcy

I had to have surgery in February. Mitch and the girls took really great care of me. Here are some pics of me and the girl hanging out after surgery. Even Penny made the cuddle session! Thanks Mitch!
